DESCRIPTION:PERMA is sponsoring the NYS Association of Fire Chiefs’ (NYSAFC) 2018-19 Firefighter Best Practices Training. This regional trainings\, conducted by NYSAFC\, will provide an overview of the best practices for training and job performance standards for firefighters\, fire chiefs\, apparatus operators\, and fire instructors. \nThe fire service\, both career and volunteer\, has become much more professionalized and both have two goals in mind – to protect the public and make sure everyone goes home at the end of the day. The best practice training is intended to ensure that those goals are met. \nAttendees will receive a collection of electronic resources to bring the knowledge to their home departments including OSHA and PESH compliance guidance\, policy and procedure templates\, and useful programs from various government agencies. \nSpace is limited\, so register soon! Contact Sue Syzdek at NYSAFC with questions.
