DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented by our partner\, NYS LTAP Center – Local Roads Program \nRegistration is now open for Fall workshops presented by our partner\, NYS LTAP Center – Cornell Local Roads. PERMA will be notifying our regional members on these upcoming events and sponsoring a limited amount of registration fees for the Snow & Ice Control workshops in preparations for winter. Don’t miss out! \nOctober 12 – St. Lawrence County \nParticipants taking this course will be able to: \n\nIdentify the elements of an effective snow and ice control program.\nDesign an ice control material treatment plan.\nDescribe how to minimize the risk of snow and ice-related tort liability.\nIdentify which type of anti-icing strategy to use on which type of road.\nChoose the best ice-control treatment for their roads.\nMeasure a reduction in cost to their municipality’s snow control operation.\n\nWho should attend?\nEstablished highway and public works officials who oversee and manage snow and ice control operations\nCrew supervisors may also find this workshop valuable. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop materials will include:  \n\nWorkshop Manual: Snow and Ice Control Operations Manual\nSnow and Ice Control: Training Outline & Checklists\nADOT&PF High Speed Snow Plow Training: Video\nAnatomy of a Winter Storm 2013\n\nWorkshop Details:\nWorkshops typically run from 8:30am – 3:00pm\nA boxed lunch will be provided.\nCancellations: Must be 3 days prior to event.\nAttendee Limit: 3 staff per entity (with waitlist for additional participants) \nDon’t miss out!  \nFree attendance for a limited amount of PERMA members.  First come\, first serve basis. \nInterested in attending?\nPlease contact Melissa Foley\, Program Manager for NYS-LTAP Cornell Local Roads at mlf222@cornell.edu \nA full schedule of upcoming Fall workshops can be found here.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
