DESCRIPTION:Beneficial for any municipality with volunteer firefighters\, this webinar will address New York State’s recently passed Volunteer Firefighter Enhanced Cancer Disability Benefits Act. Going into effect on January 1\, 2019\, the act requires all eligible firefighters to be covered under a new type of cancer disability insurance. \nJohn Hanson\, senior consultant for Willis Towers Watson\, and an expert on illness presumption legislation\, will discuss all of the components of the law and provide guidance for PERMA members on implementing the coverage within their municipality.
